After we made a day trip to the beautiful Plitvice lakes and Rastoke on Friday (pictures in the link above) and were in Ljubljana on Saturday, football in Croatia was on the agenda today. We went to Zaprešić very close to our hotel and very close to the west of Zagreb.
In the first Croatian league the NK Inter played against Velika Gorica south of Zagreb. Almost a neighbourhood duel. Unfortunately only a few hundred spectators came despite the most beautiful late summer weather. Of course tickets are no problem here either. At the ticket desk you only have to show your identity card, then the name is handwritten on the ticket and you are allowed to enter the stadium. That’s quite ok, but it can take longer for a bigger game.
Unfortunately, you don’t get nice tickets. The ticket looks more like a bill from the gas station.
For the home team it was a very weak performance today. The HNK Gorica went in the lead after 31 minutes with 0:1, but from the 53th minute on they only played with ten players and scored a few minutes later even the 0:2. Against ten opponents Zaprešić found no way against it. They had more than 40 minutes time but there was no resistance.
Accordingly the fans were disappointed on the main tribune. At their right edge the HNK Gorica fans were accommodated and of course they were quite happy with the action on the pitch. They had the chance to cheer for their team’s safe away win. Meanwhile, the small group of the activ supporters of Inter had already left the stadium loudly cursing.
The stadium is one of the older types with a large grandstand, covered in the middle, in the club colours blue and yellow and on the other long side with a few steps and some seats. The guest fans are accommodated here for larger games, where the area behind the goals is probably also used as a buffer block. However, this was not necessary with today’s number of spectators and one could move quite freely. Altogether a really nice stadium.
The evening ended again with the best Croatian cuisine and a visit in the Hotel Pool. On Monday we dedicated the whole day to the Croatian capital. I like Zagreb very much. A beautiful and well-kept city centre and beautifully situated at the foothills of the Medvednica mountains. Pictures can be found as always in the link above.
A negative experience we had to experience in retrospect of this trip. We had booked a rental car for our trip. The entire booking with all kilometers free, full insurance, border crossing … the all around carefree package.
Now additional money was debited from my credit card. As it turned out I was charged for another (unnecessary) insurance.
I would never consciously book this. This insurance alone is on the one hand three times as expensive as the total price of the rental including a carefree package, on the other hand, as already mentioned, the car was already fully insured.
This insurance was given to me without telling me. The d*mba** of the rental car company Budget at the airport of Zagreb gave me a tablet for the signatures. Which I unfortunately gave. One of them was for the rental contract, the other was the agreement to the unnecessary insurance. But he had never said a word about booking it for me. Formally they are unfortunately on the safe side and I am the stupid one. The procedure is of course audacious and happened with the troop in one way or another similarly already more often if one searches the Internet for experiences with them.
In this connection I would like to greet this dishonest worker of Budget Croatia. Also for you applies, as already for a certain taxi driver, l*ghtn*ng shall strike you when you take a sh*t!

Nachdem wir am Freitag einen Tagesausflug zu den wunderschönen Plitvicer Seen und nach Rastoke gemacht hatten (Bilder im Link oben) und am Samstag in Ljubljana waren, stand heute Fußball in Kroatien auf dem Programm. Dazu ging nach Zaprešić ganz in der Nähe unseres Hotels und ganz in der Nähe westlich von Zagreb.
In der Ersten kroatischen Liga spielte der NK Inter gegen Velika Gorica südlich von Zagreb. Fast schon ein Nachbarschaftsduell. Leider kamen trotz schönstem Spätsommerwetter nur ein paar hundert Zuschauer. Tickets auch hier natürlich kein Problem. An der Kasse muss man nur seinen Ausweis vorzeigen, dann wird der Name handschriftlich auf dem Ticket vermerkt und man darf man das Stadion betreten. Das ist alles noch im Rahmen, kann bei einem größerem Spiel aber sich auch mal länger dauern.
Richtig schöne Eintrittskarten gibt es leider nicht. Das Ticket sieht eher aus wie eine Rechnung von der Tankstelle.
Für die Heimelf war das heute ein ganz schwacher Auftritt. Der HNK Gorica ging in der 31.ten Minute 0:1 in Führung, spielte aber ab der 53.ten Minute nur noch zu Zehnt und erziehlte in Unterzahl wenige Minuten später sogar das 0:2. Gegen zehn Gegenspieler fand Zaprešić kein Mittel dagegen anzugehen. Sie hatten gute 40 Minuten Zeit aber da kam so gut keine Gegenwehr.
Demenstprechend enttäuscht waren die Fans auf der Haupttribüne. An deren rechten Rand waren die HNK Gorica Fans untergebracht denen das natürlich ganz recht war. Sie durften den ungefährdeten Auswärstsieg ihrer Mannschaft bejubeln. Währenddessen hatte sich der kleine Supporterhaufen von Inter bereits laut fluchend aus dem Stadion verabschiedet.
Das Stadien ist eines der älteren Sorte mit großer Haupttribüne, die in der Mitte überdacht ist, in den Vereinsfarben blau und gelb und einer Gegengeraden mit wenigen Stufen und einigen Sitzschalen. Hier werden bei größeren Spielen die Gästefans untergebracht, bei denen wahrscheinlich auch die Bereich hinter den Toren als Pufferblock genutzt werden. Das war bei dem heutigen Fanaufkommen aber nicht nötig und man konnte sich ziemlich frei bewegen. Insgesamt ein wirklich schönes Stadion.
Der Abend endete dann mal wieder bei bester kroatische Kochkunst und einem Besuch im Hotel Schwimmbad. Am Montag widmeten wir uns den ganzen Tag der kroatischen Hauptstadt. Zagreb gefällt mir sehr gut. Eine schöne gepflegte Innenstadt und herrlich gelegen an den Ausläufern des Medvednica-Gebirges. Bilder gibt es wie immer oben im Link.
Eine negativ Erfahrung mussten wir im Nachhinein dieser Reise dann doch noch erleben. Wir hatten eine Mietwagen für unsere Reise gebucht. Die gesamte Buchung mit allen Kilometer frei, volle Versicherung / ohne Selbstbeteiligung, Grenzüberfahrt… das rundum sorglos Paket also.
Nun wurde mir zusätzliches Geld von der Kreditkarte abgebucht. Wie sich herausgestellt wurde mir eine weitere (unnötige) Versicherung in Rechnung gestellt.
Diese würde ich nie bewusst buchen. Allein diese Versicherung ist zum einen drei mal so teuer wie der Gesamtpreis der Anmietung inklusive rundum sorglos Paket, zum anderen, wie bereits erwähnt war das bereits Auto voll versichert.
Diese Versicherung wurde mir untergejubelt. Der Zellhaufen der Mietwagenfirma Budget am Zagreber Flughafen hat mir ein Tablet hingehalten für die Unterschriften. Die ich leider gegeben habe. Ein davon war für den Mietvertrag, die andere die Zustimmung zur unnötigen Versicherung. Er hatte aber nie ein Wort darüber verloren, dass er mir das reinbucht. Formell sind die leider auf der sicheren Seite und ich bin der Dumme. Der Ablauf ist natürlich dreist und kam bei der Truppe so oder so ählich schon öfter vor wenn man mal Internet nach Erfahrugen mit denen sucht.
In diesem Zusammenhang möchte ich diesen unehrlichen Mitarbeiter von Budget Kroatien grüßen. Auch für dich gilt, wie bereits für einen bestimmten Taxifahrer, der Bl*tz möge dich beim schei**en treffen!
